Staff Nurse – Renal Hemodialysis

About the role

Staff Nurses join the renal hemodialysis team to deliver high‑standard nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis. They provide holistic support, address emotional and physical concerns, and assist with patient education while maintaining accurate clinical records.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑, intra‑ and post‑dialysis patient assessments to evaluate treatment effectiveness and report abnormalities.
• Review blood test results and inform the Medical Director of any concerns.
• Educate patients on diet, fluid intake, medication, and blood pressure management to optimise outcomes.
• Monitor the water‑treatment system and dialysis fluids to ensure safe, quality therapies.
• Maintain clean, safe equipment and report defects through proper channels.
• Accurately document patient information in the Therapy Data Management System and uphold privacy policies.
• Participate in quality‑improvement activities by reporting incidents, hazards and improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Nursing and registration with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Minimum one year of registered nursing experience in Singapore (fresh graduates welcome).
• Advanced training in hemodialysis is a plus.
• Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Ability to understand quality‑improvement processes and risk‑management obligations.
• Effective communication skills in English and preferably a local language.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
