Technician I – Sterile Production Operations

About the role

The Technician I in Sterile Production Operations supports the preparation of ophthalmic products, ensuring all activities comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and safety standards. Working closely with the supervisor and team members, the role focuses on operating equipment, maintaining cleanroom conditions, and delivering quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks related to processing ingredients and pharmaceutical products while adhering to GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Operate manufacturing equipment such as autoclaves, ovens, stills, filtration apparatus, and sterile filling equipment.
• Handle raw materials and finished products, perform general equipment maintenance, and follow standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, participate in quality checks, inspect products, and address deviations promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC in an engineering field with at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical/cGMP.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques, cleanroom practices, and health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and willingness to work 8‑hour rotating shifts.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office and production systems.
