Vice President, Internal Audit – Private Wealth Bank

About the role

The bank is seeking a Vice President of Internal Audit to lead rigorous audit engagements across its wealth management operations. You will ensure robust internal controls, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to the bank’s risk‑management framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive audit engagements in line with the approved audit plan and internal audit methodology.
• Perform detailed audit procedures and control testing across front, middle, and back‑office functions.
• Document findings with clear, accurate working papers that meet professional standards.
• Identify control deficiencies, process inefficiencies, and potential non‑compliance issues.
• Analyse and communicate audit results, highlighting risks and recommended remediation actions.
• Support the Head of Internal Audit in management, board, head‑office, and regulatory reporting.
• Participate in annual audit planning, risk assessment, and ad‑hoc audit requests.
• Travel occasionally within Asia for on‑site audit engagements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit within banking or financial services, preferably in wealth management.
• Deep understanding of industry‑specific risks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to evaluate front‑office client interactions as well as middle‑ and back‑office processes.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate findings effectively.
