Wellness Trainer – Frailty Management & Gym Tonic

About the role

The Wellness Trainer will deliver structured exercise and frailty management programmes for seniors across Toa Payoh and Woodlands. Working directly with participants, you will assess, guide and support them to improve strength, balance, mobility and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Gym Tonic (GT) exercise sessions for individuals and groups, following safety protocols and monitoring vital signs.
• Conduct participant screening, baseline assessments and frailty interventions under the Frailty Management Programme (FMP).
• Guide seniors in the correct use of exercise equipment and adjust training intensity based on capability.
• Ensure participant safety, respond to health incidents, and maintain a hygienic exercise environment.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance and progress, complying with confidentiality and PDPA requirements.
• Perform daily equipment checks, report faults and support equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with allied health professionals and support senior volunteers in wellness activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation or related health discipline.
• Relevant fitness or therapeutic exercise certifications; valid CPR and first aid certification.
• Experience delivering fitness, rehabilitation or health promotion programmes, preferably with seniors.
• Strong interpersonal communication with seniors and families; proficiency in English and Mandarin or local dialects.
• Passion for improving senior health, with a patient, encouraging and supportive attitude.
