2027 MBA Summer Intern, Account Manager, APAC

About the role

PIMCO, a global leader in active fixed income investing, is offering a 10-week MBA summer internship as an Account Manager within its APAC offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai and Taiwan. The internship runs from early June to mid-August and expects full availability for the entire programme.

Key responsibilities

• Educate clients about a broad range of investment strategies and build relationships across client organisations
• Develop a deep understanding of client needs, organisational structure and industry trends to position client-centric solutions
• Collaborate with other PIMCO investment professionals, including Product Strategists and Portfolio Managers
• Provide information on performance attribution, market performance and macroeconomic conditions
• Outline the firm's current economic outlook and portfolio strategy

Required profile

• Pursuing an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and Economics or a related quantitative/analytical field, or an equivalent advanced degree, with completion expected between December 2027 and June 2028
• Full commitment to the internship for its full duration
• Business-proficient English; proficiency in an Asian language is a plus
• Desired characteristics: ethical, collaborative, organised, flexible, high-energy, self-starter, accountable and humble
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly verbally, in writing and in presentations, and to build client relationships into strategic partnerships
• Curiosity and experience using emerging technologies and AI tools in work or study projects
