2H University Intern - Process Integration

About the role

GlobalFoundries is recruiting a 2H university intern for its Process Integration team in Woodlands, Singapore. This is part of its 20-24 week credit-bearing internship programme for students starting from June 2026, aimed at giving students hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry. The project focuses on wafer-to-wafer bonding process control.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and control the various bonding parameters that govern the wafer bonding process.
• Study upcoming ramping technology nodes.
• Perform step-by-step impact analysis on wafer bonding processes.
• Recommend adjustments or tighter process controls to improve output and yield.
• Provide recommendations for improvements to specific process steps, which will then be implemented in the unit process and recipe settings.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field through an accredited programme during the internship.
• Specialising in semiconductor processes or materials is preferred.
• The internship is for students undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from June 2026 onwards; the period must be stated in the CV, resume or cover letter.
