Account Executive / Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Account Executive / Accountant to manage full‑set accounting functions, ensure accurate financial recording and support month‑end closing activities. The role will work closely with internal teams and Chinese counterparts to maintain financial integrity across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and maintain full sets of accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely recording of transactions.
• Review supporting documents for payment requests and assist in daily payment processing.
• Maintain financial ledgers, statistical records and various accounting schedules.
• Support month‑end closing, including bank reconciliations, AR/AP aging, finance reports and audit schedules.
• Perform account reconciliations for inter‑company balances, related parties, suppliers and other entities.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of annual audits for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.
• Carry out ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant finance experience; experience in shipping or insurance is a plus.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English, with the ability to liaise with Chinese counterparts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with accounting software; knowledge of Sage, SAP or Oracle is advantageous.
