Accountant – Finance (Singapore)

About the role

The Finance team of a leading international energy trading organisation in Singapore is expanding. The Accountant will manage overhead cost accounting, financial closing, intercompany transactions and statutory reporting for the Singapore entities, working closely with local and regional finance partners.

Key responsibilities

• Post and accrue overhead costs, ensuring accurate general and administrative expense records.
• Prepare variance analysis, management reports and support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Handle intercompany recharges, reconciliations and related documentation.
• Assist with tax and GST reporting requirements.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Provide audit and regulatory documentation as needed.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives and ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Strong accounting foundation with experience in trading, commodities, energy or similarly complex environments.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Effective collaboration with stakeholders across functions and regions.
• Good communication skills, sound judgement and a hands‑on mindset.
