Accountant – Financial Reporting & Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to lead our accounts receivable team and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in line with statutory requirements. The role combines hands‑on accounting tasks with supervisory responsibilities, supporting the Finance Manager and Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of Accounts Receivable staff.
• Oversee monthly financial closing processes and prepare/review management reports.
• Prepare, review, and follow up on balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce quarterly statements, year‑end statutory reports, and tax computations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring internal controls are adhered to.
• Support ad‑hoc finance projects as assigned by senior finance leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or retail, with team‑management exposure.
• Experience working with an ERP/Oracle integrated system.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Leadership qualities, commercial focus, and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP (or similar ERP system).
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Advanced Excel/spreadsheet proficiency.
