Accounting & Bookkeeping Intern (Off-Cycle)

About the role

PwC's Tax Services practice in Singapore is recruiting an Accounting & Bookkeeping Intern through its Fund Office Support Services (AWMS) Corporate Support Services unit. The unit supports clients in corporate secretarial, accounting and payroll matters so that statutory compliance requirements are met. This is an off-cycle internship open to accountancy students.

Key responsibilities

• Assist professional staff with accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including compiling financial statements, reconciliations and audit schedules
• Use the accounting system or software to post journal entries and prepare reports
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions such as invoicing, receiving customer payments and paying suppliers
• Record daily transactions in journal entries
• Help prepare statutory records and financial statements in compliance with the law and file returns with ACRA

Required profile

• Accountancy students from local and overseas universities
• Good co-curricular activities record
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Meticulous, organised and with a flair for numbers
• Service-oriented, committed to teamwork and excellence, and keen to develop professionally
