Accounts Assistant – Junior Executive

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Pandan Loop, Singapore. This junior‑level position supports day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensures accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, match purchase orders and goods receipt notes, and prepare payment runs.
• Issue invoices and credit notes, record receipts and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Post journal entries, accruals and pre‑payments, and maintain up‑to‑date bank reconciliations.
• Verify compliance with company policies, apply correct accounting codes and handle staff reimbursements.
• Assist in trial balance checks, prepare simple variance notes and support statutory filings.
• Maintain organized vendor and customer master data.
• Follow finance SOPs, internal controls and GST requirements; support audit activities.
• Generate standard accounting reports and respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests.
• Liaise with internal teams, vendors, customers and banks to resolve issues promptly.
• Identify and suggest simple process improvements using accounting software and spreadsheets.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance (LCCI/ACCA foundation a plus).
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail and good time‑management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software/systems.
