Accounts Executive

About the role

The Accounts Executive will support the finance function of a leading engineering firm operating on Jurong Island. This role involves handling both accounts receivable and payable, as well as assisting with month‑end closing and reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams and external partners to ensure accurate financial processing.

Key responsibilities

• Issue tax invoices for progress billings, back charges to subcontractors and inter‑company billings.
• Enter AR invoices and receipts into the accounting system.
• Validate and enter AP invoices, petty cash claims and staff claims.
• Prepare payments, perform bank reconciliations and support cash management.
• Prepare period‑end journal entries for revenue, profit recognition, cost accruals and payroll.
• Compile balance‑sheet schedules and maintain the fixed‑assets register, including depreciation calculations.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field (LCCI, CAT, ACCA preferred).
• Minimum two years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, corporate income tax and GST.
