Agency Securities Lending Trader – VP

About the role

The Agency Securities Lending and Liquidity Product Management Team at Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank is looking for a Senior Trader for Securities Lending and Repos in Singapore. The trader works on the ASL trading desk, trading the securities lending market from a global perspective using Asian trading hours, with a focus on Asian markets at country and product level. The role also covers short-term projects such as client presentations, business analysis and counterparty communications.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise revenue returns for client portfolios in the ASL programme and develop relationships with clients and borrowers to expand on-loan balances
• Pitch prospective new Asia-based clients to the ASL programme and represent Agency Lending inside the bank
• Deal with counterparties daily, record and manage ASL transactions in bank trading systems and liaise with operations, the middle office, tax and corporate actions
• Respond to client queries, coordinate settlement and work with the ASL marketing team to price portfolios and prepare pitch material
• Provide senior management with updates on Asian business, regulatory and market developments
• Follow compliance and restrictions at country, market, bank and client level

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of strong experience in securities lending and repos, with deep knowledge of Asian securities lending rules and regulations
• Prior experience in financing and cash reinvestment
• Background in sales, structuring and/or client management
• Passed regulatory examinations to act as a representative and trade in Asian markets
• Ability to lead and communicate across diverse cultures, work under time pressure and use AI tools responsibly

• Trading and market data platforms such as EquiLend, BondLend, DataLend, IHS Markit, LendingPit, Pirum and Bloomberg
• Strong presentation and communication skills and effective client and stakeholder management
