Credit Risk Officer (Wealth Management) - Associate

About the role

Deutsche Bank's Private Bank, one of the largest wealth managers worldwide, is hiring a Credit Risk Officer (Associate) for its Credit Risk Management team covering the Wealth Management business in Asia Pacific. The officer handles approvals for loan transactions, analyzing and recommending approvals, declines or new loan terms for Private Bank clients.

Key responsibilities

• Independently assess lending and derivative transactions, including the suitability of the facility type, transaction structure and quality of collateral (securities, private shares, commercial and residential real estate, hedge funds, aircraft, yachts, art).
• Assign credit ratings, prepare independent credit memos and make credit decisions within delegated authority or recommend to Regional and Global Risk Heads.
• Monitor the portfolio, identify emerging risks and stay informed on market developments.
• Keep risk concentrations and limits within the defined risk appetite and exposures compliant with risk policies and regulations.
• Support reports and portfolio analysis for auditors, regulators and senior management, and contribute to remediation of regulatory and audit findings.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of banking experience, focused on structured lending in wealth management or corporate credit risk management.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Science or an MBA, with a strong academic record.

Required skills

• Strong Excel-based data analysis and financial modelling.
• Proven ability to use AI tools productively and ethically.
