AI Consultant Lead

About the role

NCS, an AI tech services company and subsidiary of the Singtel Group, is looking for an AI Consultant Lead in Singapore. The role blends deep AI expertise with human-centred design thinking to lead design initiatives at the intersection of AI technology and user experience, making AI-powered solutions robust, accessible and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design vision and strategy for complex AI-powered products across client engagements, define design standards and conduct strategic design research
• Integrate AI and machine learning with UX: partner with data scientists and ML engineers, evaluate model performance from a UX perspective and design explainable AI interfaces
• Lead data strategy and analytics: define data-driven success metrics, KPIs and experimentation frameworks, and champion human-in-the-loop and data transparency practices
• Lead end-to-end design of enterprise projects, including user research, service blueprints, design systems, prototypes and data-rich interfaces
• Run design thinking workshops and collaborate with product managers, business leaders and C-suite stakeholders
• Champion ethical AI, responsible design, fairness, privacy and regulatory compliance
• Lead design and delivery of AI solutions on Google Cloud AI platforms (Vertex AI, AutoML, managed ML services) and Google Generative AI, including MLOps guidance and use of data services like BigQuery

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, AI/ML or a related field
• 3-5 years focused on AI/ML-powered products, including 3 years of professional UX consultant experience
• Proven track record of leading complex, enterprise-scale design projects
• Portfolio showing strategic thinking, design process and measurable business impact
• Ability to influence product strategy and present to senior executives and C-level stakeholders

Required skills

• Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and prototyping tools
• User research (qualitative and quantitative) and data analytics, statistics and applied machine learning
• Agile and Design Thinking, data governance, privacy and regulatory requirements (PDPA, GDPR-aligned)
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud AI services (Vertex AI, AutoML) and Google Generative AI
