AI Engineer – AI Engineering Hub

About the role

The AI Engineering Hub (AIEH) at Nanyang Technological University is looking for an AI Engineer to drive industry‑focused AI projects and mentor apprentices in the AI Apprenticeship Programme. You will work closely with external partners, shape real‑world use cases, and contribute to Singapore’s growing AI ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end development of AI solutions for industry partners, from scoping to deployment and maintenance.
• Mentor AIAP apprentices during project delivery, providing technical coaching and guidance.
• Collaborate with industry partners to define project requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Support AI Singapore’s community activities by participating in talks, seminars, workshops, and publications.
• Assist in AIAP recruitment stages and help shape the apprenticeship curriculum.

Required profile

• Degree in any discipline with at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver AI/ML projects from data analysis to deployment and documentation.
• Strong communication skills to work with partners, apprentices, and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Applied Machine Learning – experience with algorithms for NLP, computer vision, or tabular data.
• Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• End‑to‑end AI project delivery, including data preparation, model training, and production deployment.
