AI Engineer – T‑UP Programme (Secondment)

About the role

Join the Technology for Enterprise Capability Upgrading (T‑UP) Scheme as an AI Engineer, seconded from AI Singapore to work on cutting‑edge AI projects and mentor the next generation of AI talent. This role is based at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore and contributes to national AI capability building.

Key responsibilities

• Drive tasks stemming from AIAP, AIAP (Industry), LADP, and AIIP.
• Train and mentor AI apprentices during the Deep‑skilling and Project phases.
• Lead solution development for internal and external AI projects, performing research and maintaining AIAP technologies.
• Plan and execute AIAP recruitment stages and update the AIAP syllabus.
• Support industry and community‑building activities through talks, workshops, and seminars.

Required profile

• Open to candidates from any discipline with NITEC, Diploma or Degree qualifications.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end delivery of AI/ML projects.
• Passion for mentoring and communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Curiosity and commitment to lifelong learning in AI.

Required skills

• Python programming with clean, modular code.
• Applied machine‑learning expertise (NLP, Computer Vision, tabular data).
• Generative AI and large‑language‑model development, including prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and fine‑tuning.
• MLOps tools: Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud platforms: experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
