AI FinOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI FinOps Engineer to lead the management of Azure AI and Generative AI consumption, enforce cost governance, and drive financial efficiency while supporting AI innovation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce governance standards and tagging practices for accurate project‑level cost attribution.
• Maintain a centralized framework that provides full visibility into Azure AI and GenAI consumption across projects, teams, and applications.
• Integrate Azure Cost Management, billing APIs, and monitoring systems to track consumption and costs.
• Collaborate with ML/LLMOps teams to ensure cost observability in training, deployment workflows, and token usage.
• Build dashboards and alerts for real‑time and forecasted cost monitoring, including anomaly detection for budget risks.
• Deliver executive and project‑level reporting linking cost to usage and business outcomes.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and facilitate their implementation.
• Champion FinOps best practices for AI workloads and communicate technical cost drivers in business‑oriented language.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in cloud administration or operations.
• Strong understanding of data policies and cost management in cloud environments.

Required skills

• Azure Cost Management and Azure Monitor.
• Databricks on Azure.
• Python, SQL, PySpark.
• Power BI and Grafana.
• Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates.
• Cloud FinOps practices (budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, anomaly detection).
