AI Support Engineer (Hybrid, Singapore)

About the role

Join OpenAI’s User Operations team in Singapore to help customers adopt AI at scale. You will troubleshoot high‑impact technical issues, work directly with customers via tickets and live calls, and shape the future of post‑AGI support. The role is hybrid, with three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems such as API failures, integration challenges, authentication errors, and production incidents.
• Provide end‑to‑end ownership of debugging, log analysis, issue reproduction, and expert guidance.
• Act as a critical escalation point, partnering with engineering to prevent recurring problems and improve internal tooling.
• Drive automation and AI‑powered workflow improvements to increase team efficiency.
• Participate in on‑call holiday and weekend support as needed.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in User Operations, Support Engineering or similar technical roles, preferably in fast‑growth tech environments.
• Comfortable using emerging technologies (Codex, ChatGPT, OpenAI API) to script or engineer solutions, primarily in Python.
• Expert‑level SaaS troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly grasp new technologies.
• Polished enterprise communication, calm under high‑stakes incident calls, and strong relationship‑building abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
