AML, KYC Consultant - Private Banking Team (Contract)

About the role

Sia, a global consulting firm with over 2,800 consultants across 18 countries, is expanding its Risk and Regulatory Compliance team and is looking for AML, KYC contractors to join its Private Banking (PB) team in Singapore. You will work closely with clients' compliance and legal teams on cross-functional initiatives around Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML).

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive KYC procedures for Private Banking clients.
• Prepare KYC document collection checklists and gather data from Relationship Managers and clients.
• Carry out identification and verification processes.
• Run screening procedures and manage hit escalation processes.
• Update KYC data in relevant systems accurately and efficiently.
• Perform four-eyes control checks on KYC profiles and run quality assurance reviews.
• Escalate all exceptions to Compliance for further review.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to AML and KYC regulations.
• Stay up to date on regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Proven KYC/AML experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management.
• Prior experience working on Source of Wealth.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and communication skills, and ability to work independently and with discretion on confidential information.
• Familiarity with Singapore's regulatory environment is highly desirable.
