AML/FCC Specialist - 3-Month Contract

About the role

Sia Partners, part of the global management consulting group Sia, is looking for a team of contractors to support its Risk, Regulatory and Compliance practice as AML/FCC Specialist Consultants. The consultants work closely with clients' compliance and legal teams on AML/FCC initiatives, supporting a 3-month contract in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Support consistent execution of the firm's sanctions policy across business units and the compliance function.
• Anticipate regulatory shifts and build risk-calibrated controls and workflows.
• Track evolving sanctions and anti-money-laundering requirements worldwide and adjust internal controls accordingly.
• Review escalated customer and transaction alerts flagged as possible sanctions-list hits, closing cases within agreed turnaround times.
• Act as the go-to resource for sanctions questions raised by client-facing, commercial and operational teams.
• Author and maintain the policies and procedures governing the sanctions program.
• Deliver targeted sanctions training for business-side colleagues and partner with the risk assessment function to refine sanctions risk assessments.
• Take on one-off due-diligence assignments and support responses to regulatory exams, inquiries and internal audits, including document collection.
• Track and report metrics and reporting that give leadership visibility into sanctions compliance activity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of AML/FCC experience, particularly with banking, fintech and payment clients.
• Client-facing experience preferred; AML certification is an advantage.
• Solid grasp of sanctions regulations, rules and industry practices.
• Hands-on experience configuring customer and transaction screening tools and running the alert-review process.
• Solid project-management fundamentals and strong analytical instincts.
