AML/KYC Corporate Banking Consultant (Contract)

About the role

Sia Partners is looking for a contractor to support its Risk, Regulatory & Compliance practice as an AML/KYC consultant. The consultant works closely with clients' compliance and legal teams and leads cross-functional initiatives around KYC/AML. The role is based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC for corporate banking clients, including preparing a KYC document collection checklist and gathering data from relationship managers and clients
• Collect KYC information and documents from customers, answering queries and providing good customer service
• Carry out identification and verification, and perform screening and hit escalation
• Update KYC data in the KYC systems, run four-eyes checks on KYC profiles and perform quality assurance sampling
• Analyze and resolve screening hits during onboarding and ongoing monitoring, and conduct background checks and client interviews
• Assess client businesses and carry out qualitative AML risk profiling
• Review and resolve transaction monitoring alerts
• Take part in system and process improvements, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Manage day-to-day stakeholder interactions with Compliance, Operations and AML teams, and oversee customer offboarding

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• At least 3 years of KYC/AML experience, especially with corporate banking clients
• Client-facing experience preferred; AML certification is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Singapore AML/CFT regulations and guidelines
• KYC/AML processes and transaction monitoring alert handling
