Analyst, Citi Commercial Bank

About the role

Citi Commercial Bank serves Mid-Market companies with a global banking network, industry knowledge and local expertise. As an Analyst, you work with Senior Relationship Managers to service the banking and financing needs of international Mid-Market clients, deepen existing relationships and acquire and onboard new commercial banking clients. The role is full time and marked as hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with Citi's network and operational teams and act as a key contact for client and internal requests and escalations.
• Support Senior Relationship Managers in managing the assigned client portfolio and in delivering a client-first approach to daily banking and operational support.
• Assist with client calls, including preparation and diligence.
• Monitor product implementation, client onboarding and the CRM platform, and help with credit application write-ups, financial spreads, deal structuring, returns calculations, documentation review and credit administration.
• Analyse client relationships, risks and opportunities, and support solutioning assessments, pitch books and meeting materials.
• Work with Commercial Banking stakeholders to share best practice and deliver strong relationship management.
• Assess risk appropriately and uphold compliance with laws, rules and regulations, escalate and report control issues, and act ethically.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience.
• Previous banking experience; commercial/corporate banking experience is desirable.
• Experience in a client-facing or client relationship role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Sales, presentation and communication skills with a focus on first-class service.
• Analytical and credit skills, and analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of general banking processes and commercial banking solutions such as transactional banking, FX, trade, treasury, working capital and lending.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and Customer Relationship Management software.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with Senior Relationship Managers.
