APAC Commercial Legal Counsel (Singapore)

About the role

Mistral AI is seeking an experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to join its APAC legal team in Singapore. You will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to structure, draft, negotiate and close a wide range of commercial agreements across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and provide strategic advice on master services agreements, data protection agreements, partnership, reseller and professional services contracts.
• Support tender processes and respond to RFPs, ensuring compliance with internal policies and APAC regulations.
• Collaborate with sales, AI engineers, data scientists, infosec, government affairs, marketing, communications and finance to drive commercial success.
• Monitor and interpret AI‑related legal and regulatory developments in APAC and advise internal stakeholders.
• Prioritize workload, manage multiple deadlines and maintain strong client relationships across time zones.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with several years of experience handling public‑sector and complex enterprise technology transactions.
• Proven track record as a commercial contracts negotiator, comfortable with high‑stakes deals.
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and ability to understand business drivers and technical concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, client‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating master services agreements, data protection agreements and partnership contracts.
• Knowledge of APAC commercial law, data privacy regulations and AI‑related legal frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams across different time zones.
