About the role
The APAC Legal Manager will be based in Singapore and will support UPS across the Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to the Legal Director, Asia Pacific, the role covers contract negotiations, regulatory and trade compliance, and the legal enablement of new products and services.
Key responsibilities
- Review and provide legal support for customer contracts throughout the Asia Pacific region.
- Resolve disputes arising from customer contracts.
- Advise on international trade and regulatory compliance matters.
- Conduct legal research to enable the launch of new products and services.
- Draft and review commercial contracts and related documents.
- Supervise external law firms engaged by UPS.
- Oversee junior staff within the Legal Department.
Required profile
- Recognised law degree (LLM or JD).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong drafting skills in corporate or litigation matters.
- Ability to manage projects independently in a matrix organisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and preferably one additional Asian language (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, etc.).
