Application Engineer - Data Center Liquid Cooling

About the role

Continental's ContiTech sector, a material expert for industry applications, is hiring an Application Engineer for Data Center Liquid Cooling in Singapore. The role covers strategy development, technical consulting for OEMs, end users and distributors in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, product specification, sales support and quality and complaint handling.

Key responsibilities

• Study data center liquid cooling trends and market activity (rubber hose, quick connections, valves) and advise the Head of Application Engineering and team lead on strategic questions
• Consult customers in Taiwan and Southeast Asia on fluid handling systems, give advice on hose and connection development, and conduct field inspections and troubleshooting
• Attend strategic meetings with customers and conveyor design engineers, and train them on products and belt conveying technology
• Design products from master specifications, create specifications and support product specification tools
• Represent the company in regional and global standardization committees and interest groups
• Support sales channels, KAM and marketing communications: quotations, feasibility checks, contract reviews, customer visits, award negotiations, and prepare technical data, photos and videos for events and exhibitions
• Support the BU funnel process for new products, run competitive benchmarking, coordinate field trials and on-site product performance reviews
• Handle quality and complaints: review claims, conduct root cause analysis and support out-of-spec products to avoid returns or warranty claims
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and suggest product and cost-saving ideas

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical or Electronic Engineering preferred; Chemical or Materials Engineering considered)
• Industry know-how in data center liquid cooling, thermal management, server/AI hardware, electronics manufacturing and semiconductor equipment, and the Taiwan and Southeast Asia ecosystem (ODMs, server builders, CDU manufacturers, distributors)
• Basic knowledge of design-in processes, AVL/RVL qualification, OEM procurement and supplier selection criteria

• Direct-to-chip cooling, CDUs, rack, cluster and room-level cooling architectures
• Quick disconnect couplings and hose assemblies
• Excellent technical communication: discussing solutions with engineers, translating customer requirements, reading specifications and drawings, identifying application opportunities
