Application Engineer - Power Solutions

About the role

A global leader in energy resilience and power solutions is looking for an Application Engineer in Singapore, through its recruiter Randstad. The role drives pre-sales engineering and custom power solutions for dealers, distributors and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support and manage tenders by evaluating RFQs and making sure proposed solutions match tender specifications and local regulatory standards.
• Carry out on-site surveys and feasibility studies with the engineering team to propose alternatives, resolve specification deviations and help with complex integration proposals.
• Assess requests for non-standard generator sets for commercial and technical viability, and guide clients on specification changes such as fuel supply and exhaust installation designs.
• Prepare project cost estimates for M&E works and non-standard equipment, working with senior engineers to build competitive quotations that help the sales team meet targets.
• Work with vendors and the supply chain during pre-sales development of custom systems while keeping ISO quality standards up to date.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 4 years of relevant technical solution experience.
