Application Support Analyst – Payments & Settlement Platforms

About the role

The Application Support Analyst joins Marex's Technology Department to provide technical and functional support for a suite of global payments and settlement platforms, including cross‑border payments, FX settlement and domestic schemes such as BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT and SEPA.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2nd and 3rd line support for all payment and settlement applications, handling incidents, problems and business continuity activities.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to streamline monitoring, reconciliation and reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, service desk and wider IT teams to resolve day‑to‑day issues and manage outages.
• Maintain documentation, manage vendor relationships and coordinate system upgrades or scheme‑mandated changes.

Required profile

• Solid experience with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Strong SQL/Oracle database skills for investigating transaction data.
• Background in financial services, preferably payments, treasury or FX operations.
• Familiarity with payment messaging standards (SWIFT MT/MX, BACS, CHAPS, SEPA, Faster Payments) and related protocols.
