Architect – Public Housing Design Policy & Innovation

About the role

You will join the Design Policy Department’s Design Innovation Section to shape architectural design policies for new public housing projects. The role focuses on sustainability, liveability and digitalisation, leveraging GenAI and IT tools to improve project delivery efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct design studies and research, including technical reviews and analysis of precedent projects.
• Collaborate with research and project teams to implement new initiatives and resolve technical challenges in public housing.
• Manage and review design guidelines, ensuring clear communication to consultants and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvement and digital transformation for architectural project management, supporting stakeholder change management.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Architecture by the Board of Architects Singapore (registration advantageous).
• 3‑5 years of experience in architectural design, either with consultants or on the developer/client side.
• Strong research abilities and data literacy for design studies.
• Ability to synthesise large data sets and architectural archives using AI tools.
• Interest in digital transformation and process improvement.
• Excellent critical thinking, written and visual communication, and presentation skills.
