Area Manager – Facility Management

About the role

The Area Manager will lead facility management services across designated zones, ensuring high performance and client satisfaction. This role provides strategic direction to building managers, technical executives, quantity surveyors and project managers while maintaining strong relationships with clients and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage performance delivery of facility management services in assigned zones.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Building Managers, Technical Executives, Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, offering professional advice to the team.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and internal workflows for smooth site operations.
• Manage client and authority relationships as the primary point of contact.
• Oversee area budgeting, expenses and financial tracking.
• Maintain accurate servicing records, equipment inventory and audit‑ready documentation.
• Plan, monitor, inspect and report on preventive maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with headquarters support functions such as horticulture, ECO, safety and projects.
• Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or Facilities Management.
• Experience managing vendors, maintenance operations and projects.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
