ASIC Product Test Engineer

About the role

Cisco's Silicon One Productization team builds manufacturing and test solutions that speed time-to-market and improve supply chain performance. It is looking for an ASIC Product Test Engineer to manage volume test operations across its OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) partners and consistently meet production targets. The role works with advanced networking silicon, solving complex hardware and software challenges alongside ASIC design engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define test requirements for IP, minimizing test overhead for design and production, and develop custom test solutions for a wide product portfolio.
• Partner with ASIC design and OSAT teams to move FT/CP programs from the Cisco lab to full-scale production.
• Act as the main point of contact for production issues, leading investigations into hardware and software test problems while meeting throughput, yield, cycle time and uptime targets.
• Align OSAT roadmaps and capacity ramp plans with Cisco's product delivery schedules and manage production test hardware.
• Evaluate test OSAT, recommend new site qualifications and oversee qualification activities.
• Support Manufacturing Operations with engineering expertise for quarterly planning, shipping reviews and continuous production optimization.
• Work with the Data and Automation Solutions team on statistical yield and correlation analysis to drive test and yield improvements.

Required profile

• BSEE (or higher) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years in ATE or SLT volume production environments, preferably with high-end compute or networking devices.
• Proven ability to debug, analyze and perform root-cause analysis on manufacturing yield issues and field escapes.
• Familiarity with OSAT operations, manufacturing processes and yield optimization.

Required skills

• Linux/Unix and Python programming.
• TCP/IP network configuration.
• Preferred: experience with Hontech ATC handlers and V93k testers.
