Asset Retirement Manager (Demolition)

About the role

ERM is recruiting a Managing Consultant to join its Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) team in Singapore. The role mainly supports project delivery and the pursuit of opportunities for sustainable asset retirement, decommissioning, decontamination and demolition (DDD) services, and may also require support across other services in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the planning, execution and reporting of sustainable asset retirement / DDD projects
• Develop, implement and maintain proactive health and safety, environmental and quality management programmes at project sites
• Promote good sustainability practices at project sites
• Manage and supervise the ERM project team and subcontractors
• Build strong client relationships through project delivery and engagement
• Lead or support technical and commercial proposals and business development
• Meet financial targets, project budgets and schedules, client expectations and contract requirements
• Support the continuous development of DDD services and grow the business across service areas and regions

Required profile

• At least 10 years' experience managing and supporting DDD projects in industrial sectors such as oil and gas, power or chemical/pharmaceutical, or similar projects such as renovation or redevelopment
• Strong safety leadership and communication skills
• Field project management and contractor management experience, preferably with workplace health and safety, waste and hazardous material management knowledge
• Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering degree (or equivalent)
• Able to multitask, pay attention to detail, work in teams and lead, coach or mentor junior staff

Required skills

• Basic digital tools and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
• Drafting and AutoCAD / GIS software
