Assistant Accountant, Finance

About the role

An internal finance team in Singapore is looking for a self-driven, detail-oriented person with strong problem-solving skills and a good work ethic to join as an Assistant Accountant. The role provides day-to-day support for finance operations, financial reporting and general accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, process accounting transactions and prepare supporting schedules for month-end closing and audit purposes.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and other routine finance processes.
• Assist in preparing reports, audit documentation and data needed for management reporting and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Provide administrative and ad-hoc support within the finance team and collaborate with internal stakeholders on finance queries and process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in accountancy or a finance-related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Meticulous and analytical with numbers; independent and self-motivated.

Required skills

• Good understanding of accounting principles and experience processing accounting transactions.
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including organizing, analyzing and presenting financial data, is preferred.
