Assistant Cook

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Cook to support our kitchen operations across Singapore. You will work closely with the Cook to ensure food is prepared efficiently, the work area remains clean, and all supplies are ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with food preparation tasks such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling ingredients.
• Clean and sanitise food preparation areas in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Wash, disinfect and store kitchen utensils, equipment and dishes.
• Receive, weigh, store and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies.
• Operate kitchen appliances and tools including mixers, ovens, knives and cutters.
• Maintain orderly storerooms and assist with unloading deliveries.
• Support menu development by improvising existing dishes and creating new items.
• Help control kitchen expenses, food costs and staffing within budget.

Required profile

• Ability to prepare North Indian cuisine.
• Willingness to work shifts as required.
• Professional attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.

Required skills

• Food preparation techniques (cleaning, cutting, chopping, peeling).
• Operation of kitchen appliances and tools (mixers, ovens, knives, cutters).
• Cleaning and sanitising of work areas and equipment.
• Dishwashing and proper storage of utensils.
• Inventory management and stock handling.
