Assistant Cook

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team in Singapore. You will support our chefs in delivering high‑quality meals while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking food items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Wash, cut, peel, measure, and portion ingredients as required.
• Support chefs and cooks in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Ensure food is presented in line with quality and hygiene requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, utensils, workstations, and preparation areas.
• Help receive, store, and organize food ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor ingredient levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties.
• Perform other kitchen‑related tasks as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions and work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks.
• Responsible, reliable and committed to maintaining food quality standards.
