Assistant Director, Annual Giving

About the role

The University Advancement Office at Nanyang Technological University is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Director to lead and expand its Annual Giving and Faculty & Staff Giving programmes. This role will drive strategic development, execution and evaluation of giving initiatives, strengthening relationships with alumni, staff and the wider university community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the strategic planning, execution and assessment of alumni and faculty & staff giving programmes, ensuring fundraising targets are met.
• Collaborate with internal teams across the University Advancement Office and individual schools to align annual giving priorities with the university’s overall fundraising strategy.
• Identify and qualify high‑capacity donors, working with the Leadership Giving team to build pipelines for major and leadership gifts.
• Engage a community of over 230,000 alumni and 8,000 faculty & staff to increase participation in annual giving campaigns.
• Work closely with communications and alumni relations staff to ensure consistent messaging and prepare solicitation materials.
• Lead and support the flagship “Best Foot Forward” campaign and other annual giving initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fundraising, alumni relations or university advancement, preferably at a senior or managerial level.
• Strong leadership and collaborative skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities with donors and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans and achieve measurable results.
