Assistant Director – Partner Engagement (2‑year contract)

About the role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and strategic Assistant Director to lead partner engagement and ecosystem development for IP Grow. The role will drive growth through high‑value collaborations with enterprises, service providers, industry associations and international partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute partnership strategies aligned with organisational priorities.
• Identify, onboard and manage strategic partners across industries and professional services.
• Structure, negotiate and implement collaboration models that deliver measurable impact.
• Identify overseas demand, cross‑border collaborations and new market entry opportunities.
• Represent the organisation at industry engagements, business missions and high‑level meetings.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities and track performance against KPIs.
• Drive partner participation in IP Grow initiatives and gather market intelligence to refine value propositions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align objectives and ensure strong partner communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, International Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in business development, partnerships or client engagement, preferably in legal, IP, consulting or professional services.
• Experience with public‑private partnerships, trade associations or chambers is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, results‑oriented approach.
• Strong team player who can collaborate across functions and build trust.
• Experience in regional or international engagement is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required.
