About the role
The TTSH Medical Tower is part of Phase 2 of the HealthCity Novena (HCN) Master Plan, which transforms the 17-hectare campus of Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) into an integrated hub of healthcare, education and research. As Assistant Director, Senior Manager or Manager, you will be the lead project manager or coordinator for the architectural and built environment components of the Medical Tower, ensuring construction follows approved designs and User Group Meeting outcomes, while helping shape the Healing Environment portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Review architectural blueprints and shop drawings against approved UGM requirements and the Schedule of Accommodation, and resolve discrepancies with consultants before site.
- Lead site inspections and progress meetings, and liaise with clinical and operational users to turn their needs into briefs for consultants and contractors.
- Maintain records of milestone sign-offs, meeting minutes, design submissions and progress payment approvals, and manage design change requests.
- Develop test fit drawings and space planning layouts for clinical and non-clinical tenants, and manage minor works and tender calls for smaller fit-out works.
- Manage the wayfinding strategy, the master interior design brief and the landscape design scope across the campus.
- Prepare a master readiness timeline, coordinate user walkthroughs and pre-opening inspections, and lead snagging and defects rectification.
- Oversee activation and commissioning of wayfinding systems and work with Operations, Facilities and clinical leads on ramp-up readiness.
Required profile
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Building Science or a related built environment discipline.
- 8 years (Manager), 10-12 years (Senior Manager) or 13-15 years (AD) of project management experience, including design-to-construction transitions on major public buildings or healthcare facilities.
- Prior experience with wayfinding, master interior design or landscape design on large infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of how patients and visitors navigate large buildings, and strong stakeholder coordination with clinical users, consultants and contractors.
Required skills
- Revit and AutoCAD, reading BIM models and producing or reviewing test fit drawings and space plans.
- Contract administration under PSSCOC or SIA conditions, including variations, progress claims and final accounts.
- FFE procurement and installation coordination is an advantage.
