Assistant Electrical Manager / Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Electrical Manager / Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design, installation and commissioning activities for large‑scale infrastructure projects across Singapore. The role involves close coordination with contractors, consultants and internal engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, interconnection drawings and cable schedules.
• Coordinate electrical design, installation and interface requirements with PE/LEW, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Support procurement by reviewing technical specifications and evaluating vendor submissions.
• Supervise and monitor electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and safety requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and execute electrical testing and commissioning for power distribution systems, control panels and field equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation such as method statements, testing procedures, risk assessments and commissioning reports.
• Ensure all electrical works are completed in line with project schedules, quality requirements and industry standards.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience working on MRT or tunnel construction projects.
• Proficient in cable sizing calculations, load calculations and voltage‑drop analysis.
• Experienced in preparing Bills of Quantities for electrical materials, cables and accessories.
• Able to read, interpret and develop electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Familiar with electrical testing and commissioning activities, including cable, insulation‑resistance, continuity, panel and system energisation tests.
• Good knowledge of IEC, SS or equivalent electrical standards.
