Assistant Finance Controller – Group Finance Lead

About the role

The client, a SGX‑listed market leader, is seeking a hands‑on Assistant Finance Controller to support group financial management, consolidation, reporting and internal governance. Working closely with senior leadership, the role will drive financial planning, performance analysis and decision support to fuel growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support group financial management, consolidation, reporting and internal control functions.
• Lead day‑to‑day finance activities, ensuring accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts and management reports.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to aid strategic business decisions.
• Drive process and system improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, tax advisors and other external stakeholders.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects, strategic initiatives and other business priorities.

Required profile

• Degree qualified with prior external audit experience.
• More than 10 years of experience in the commercial sector managing financial consolidation, group reporting and accounting.
• Team‑management experience overseeing at least 10 direct and indirect staff.
• Strong Excel proficiency.
• Industry exposure to FMCG, retail, F&B or other high‑volume transaction environments.
• SGX reporting experience is advantageous.
• Hands‑on, driven, proactive, flexible with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
