Assistant Finance Manager (Manufacturing)

About the role

The Assistant Finance Manager will lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes, oversee core accounting functions and support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning for a manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Review and validate journals, accruals, pre‑payments, intercompany transactions and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, fixed assets and treasury operations.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
• Review product costing, inventory valuation and manufacturing cost allocations, providing variance insights.
• Drive the annual budgeting process and recurring forecasting, monitoring actual performance.
• Manage cash‑flow planning, working capital and banking activities to ensure liquidity.
• Coordinate external and internal audits, tax compliance and statutory filings.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Participate in ERP enhancements and finance transformation initiatives to improve automation and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2‑3 years of Big 4 audit experience.
• At least 8 years of finance and accounting experience, including 2‑3 years in a supervisory role within a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, internal controls, costing, inventory accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
