Assistant Manager, Automation Developer

About the role

NTU Shared Services (NSS) is a central unit of Nanyang Technological University providing administrative, operational and support services to university departments. This Assistant Manager, Automation Developer role is a key member of the NSS Automation team, responsible for driving automation initiatives. The incumbent works closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and designs, documents, develops, tests and implements low-code solutions that automate business processes, while overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting and improvement of deployed solutions. Project management and peer mentoring opportunities may also be available.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and design low-code solutions.
• Design visual models, business process workflows, user interfaces and data models.
• Document business process workflows, design specifications, technical details and user guides.
• Develop end-to-end automated applications using low-code platforms such as UiPath and OutSystems.
• Ensure data integrity, security and proper error handling.
• Perform testing and quality assurance, including creating and running test cases, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Support and guide stakeholders through development, deployment and maintenance.
• Provide individual and peer mentoring and help build capabilities within the team, function and organization.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• Experience in automation development roles.
• Experience in programming.
• Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in UiPath and Power Query.
• Experience in OutSystems.
• Knowledge of data integration, APIs and data transformation.
