Assistant Manager – Category Management & Business Development (Beauty & Wellness)

About the role

We are hiring passionate eCommerce professionals with a strong interest in omni‑channel retail and a deep understanding of the beauty and wellness sector. As an Assistant Manager you will be a key member of the Business Development team, expanding and growing the assigned category through effective category management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead merchant acquisition efforts, including prospecting, negotiating, and developing promotions.
• Own merchant onboarding up to contracting or renewal before handing over to Operations.
• Manage sales targets for assigned merchants and serve as primary point of contact.
• Review merchant performance and collaborate on new business ideas such as range expansion, marketing and partnerships.
• Analyse merchant‑level performance, support monthly business reporting and resolve operational issues related to publication, orders, logistics and payments.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Operations and Product teams to execute commercial initiatives and campaigns.
• Oversee merchant profitability by managing margin negotiations, promotions and campaign monetisation.
• Identify new commercial opportunities and support ad‑hoc projects, acting as coordinator or project lead when required.

Required profile

• Degree holder with 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Background in merchandising, eCommerce or marketplace environments.
• Strong industry networks and contacts within the beauty and wellness sector (preferred).
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills.
