Assistant Manager – Construction Contracts

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Construction Contracts will lead the Quantity Surveying (QS) team in delivering contract documentation, cost planning and tender processes for construction projects. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures accurate cost control, claim handling and industry programme support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QS team in contract documentation, tender preparation and project requirements.
• Set up, implement and monitor project cost plans to ensure financial targets are met.
• Review and verify take‑offs from the next level for completeness and timely performance.
• Manage the tendering process, including analysis and evaluation of bids.
• Oversee bid proposal execution, coordinating resources, collating information and preparing final documentation.
• Handle claims, variation orders, budget and cost control, and settlement of final accounts.
• Support industry programmes by providing input, ideas and client propositions to raise practice profile.
• Build and maintain networks with group companies and subject‑matter experts to secure project wins.
• Identify new client opportunities within assigned industry verticals to achieve revenue targets.
