Assistant Manager – Grant Management

About the role

The CyberSG R&D Programme Office at Nanyang Technological University is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the full lifecycle of its grant programmes. You will work closely with the Team Lead to design, implement and monitor funding initiatives that advance Singapore's cybersecurity innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Team Lead in shaping grant strategy and programme design.
• Co‑lead the creation of funding frameworks, thematic priorities and evaluation approaches aligned with national cybersecurity goals.
• Develop and enforce governance policies, procedures and controls to ensure transparency and compliance.
• Oversee proposal evaluation processes, collaborating with expert panels to select high‑impact projects.
• Build and manage partnerships with universities, research institutes, industry and government agencies.
• Manage grant budgets and allocation, ensuring adherence to financial and audit requirements.
• Monitor project performance, tracking milestones, deliverables and real‑world cybersecurity impact.
• Continuously improve grant frameworks using data‑driven insights and benchmarking against global best practices.

Required profile

• At least a bachelor’s degree in business management, project management, cybersecurity, engineering, computer science, public policy or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in grant management, research administration or programme management.
• Strong understanding of research and innovation ecosystems, preferably within cybersecurity or deep‑technology domains.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and manage complex funding programmes.
