Assistant Manager, Human Resources

About the role

NTU is looking for an Assistant Manager, Human Resources to join its HR team. You will support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) by handling a range of HR matters within the designated business unit(s), helping deliver HR services efficiently and foster a positive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Support the HRBP in delivering HR services on time, including recruitment: collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and HR Shared Services teams to help the business unit hire the right people in time.
• Manage the administration of staff contract renewals with key stakeholders.
• Support the HRBP through the performance management cycle: track timelines, help People Managers understand performance tools and practices, and consolidate data for discussions.
• Keep HR data accurate and help prepare HR reports and key updates for decision-making.
• Provide HR advice on university policies and work processes.
• Work with the HRBP and HR Centres of Excellence on HR projects, including policy and process reviews.

Required profile

• Degree with at least 3 years of experience in human resources administration or a related field.
• Prior experience in an educational, academic or research environment is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and manage deliverables under tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving HR needs.
• Team player who is also self-motivated.

Required skills

• Experience with the Workday system is an advantage.
