Assistant Manager, People & Culture

About the role

The Assistant Manager, People & Culture joins Hegen's People & Workplace Experience team to drive people initiatives that enhance employee experience, improve workforce effectiveness, and support organisational growth. You will work closely with the department head, blending data analysis with operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain workforce dashboards, reports, and metrics on headcount, turnover, absenteeism, engagement, recruitment effectiveness and talent movement.
• Analyse trends, provide insights for decision‑making, and support compensation benchmarking and benefits reviews.
• Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle events such as onboarding, off‑boarding, promotions and performance cycles.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance with statutory reporting and audits.
• Drive employee engagement, listening, and culture‑building initiatives; act as a primary point of contact for people‑related queries.
• Identify and implement automation, simplification and continuous‑improvement opportunities across HR processes and systems.
