Assistant Manager / Senior Executive, Emergency Planning (2-Year Contract)

About the role

The National University Health System (NUHS) is hiring an Assistant Manager / Senior Executive for Emergency Planning on a 2-year contract, subject to extension depending on satisfactory performance and organisational needs. The incumbent develops and implements strategies for effective responses to emergencies such as pandemics and IT downtime, and spends 20% of their time supporting Ministry of Health (MOH) Emergency Planning projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage EP equipment: oversee budget and funding for response equipment and consumables, plan and execute procurement and claims, work with the Biomedical Equipment Department on asset tracking and maintenance, review crisis equipment requirements and act as point of contact for MOH audits.
• Review the hospital's emergency response plan and coordinate exercises: engage stakeholders in reviewing SOPs, coordinate and integrate them, and plan monthly fleet test exercises and annual EP drills.
• Plan for the Integrated General Hospital (IGH): take part in the IGH Ops Centre workshop, coordinate with medical planners and campus planning teams, prepare a list of EP items needed and complete procurement on schedule.
• Other activities: provide secretariat support to the quarterly Business Continuity Management (BCM) Steering Committee meetings and support MOH EP-related projects.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' work experience in the healthcare industry; healthcare operational experience is advantageous but not necessary.
• Only Singapore citizens and Singapore permanent residents may apply.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analytical, quantitative and organisational skills, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
