Assistant Manager, Student Industry and Alumni Engagement

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks an Assistant Manager to lead student, industry, and alumni engagement for its MSc programmes. The role focuses on enhancing student experience, wellbeing, and employability while building strong alumni connections.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement initiatives that boost MSc student participation, sense of belonging, and overall programme experience.
• Plan and deliver development and well‑being programmes covering personal effectiveness, mental health, career readiness, and holistic growth.
• Integrate industry engagement through talks, skills workshops, employer‑led sessions, and networking activities to improve graduate employability.
• Develop and execute alumni engagement strategies to strengthen alumni‑student connections and encourage long‑term involvement.
• Facilitate alumni and industry participation in mentorship, networking, and employability‑related initiatives.
• Monitor participation, feedback, and outcomes to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Support special projects and ad‑hoc assignments undertaken by the Programme Office.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least three years of relevant experience in student life and support (preferred).
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
• Resilience under stress and a passion for assisting students.
• Can‑do attitude, ability to work quickly and independently.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
