Assistant Production Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure efficient production, and drive team performance while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day production activities and monitor team productivity.
• Lead shift meetings, track progress and address delays or issues.
• Implement production plans, performance targets and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure team members understand their roles, responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous development.
• Enforce compliance with safety regulations, policies and procedures.
• Plan and adjust work schedules to support efficient operations.
• Maintain working knowledge of production processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems when required.
• Support broader business objectives and contribute to overall operational performance.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a manufacturing environment supervising production quality and continuity.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or team‑leadership role.
• Six‑Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
